Larry, I have spoken the contractor and we will be leaving an area open while you resolve the insurance claim issue. See the image attached. The contractor will continue to pour the concrete sidewalk on the west side while the insurance claim is finalized. Eric G. Washington Avenue. It is critical to emphasize that this investigation is still underway and has not yet concluded. Pouring concrete before the investigation is finalized and before repairs are made to the jackhammered area will significantly interfere with both the investigation process and the implementation of proper repair methods. Unfortunately, we are not able to begin the repairs until the insurance company has finalized their investigation. To facilitate a smooth resolution, we kindly request that concrete pouring in front of our building, 303 N. Washington Avenue, be postponed until the insurance claim investigation and repairs to the damaged area are finalized. We anticipate this process to extend beyond the middle of next week. Furthermore, it is pertinent to mention that the most highly trafficked stores are located on the north end of the block and remain unaffected by the damage and require no repairs before pouring concrete. Considering these factors, we believe prioritizing the north end for concrete work would be the most efficient approach, allowing the insurance company and the brick repair contractor to complete their tasks without interruption. Tentative plans for next week: · Continue pouring of sidewalk on the west side starting at the southwest corner ( I will try to get a definitive day and provide an update so store owners can plan for it) · Pouring of additional concrete on the eastside to the next expansion joint (just north of the radio station) · More curb and gutter on the west side moving north. · General site cleanup As a reminder once concrete pouring has begun in front of your place of business you must remain off of it for 48 hours (for example if concrete pouring has begun on Tuesday at 9:00am you cannot walk on it until Thursday at 9:00am). This allows for the top surface of the concrete to properly cure so as not to cause any deformations or issues with the finish. As stated above I will try and get updates on the exact days the sidewalks will be poured to keep everyone informed. Please email or call if you have any questions or concerns. Enjoy your weekend.
